Spot-Spraying Systems

Using cameras and artificial intelligence to discriminate crop weeds, special nozzles can spot-spray precisely targeted doses of herbicide in real time.

Cameras along the sprayer boom record images several meters ahead. Computer algorithms instantly identify target weed species at key growth stages growth stages and different light conditions and distinguish them from the crop. The optimum herbicide for that weed species is instantly precision-sprayed using pulse width modulation (PWM) technology, which turns nozzles on and off whilst maintaining line pressure.

Smart spraying effectively eliminates yield-robbing weeds in crops, with minimal chemical usage and significantly reduced drift and run-off. Machine learning also enables immediate data collection & processing to inform growers and advisers for in-field intervention.
